Camping Areas

Porcupine Mountains State Park: Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park (60,000 acres) is one of the few remaining large wilderness areas in the Midwest. Towering virgin timber, secluded lakes, and miles of wild rivers and streams make a visit to the "Porkies" a trip to remember. Black bears are common in the Porkies

Twin Lakes State Park: Twin Lakes State Park is situated in Michigan's Copper Country located in Houghton County, 15 miles northeast of Mass City and 26 miles southwest of Houghton/Hancock on Highway M-26. The 175-acre modern campground is located on the southwest shore of Lake Roland.
